Initiative · Profit for Good

Every for-profit project we win helps fund a free one for a non-profit.

Not everything we do is for profit. Profit for Good turns commercial work into social impact by design. When a company commissions a project with us, it joins the initiative and adds a small share of the project value to an impact fund. That fund pays for a cost optimization project, and free CostCTRL technology, at a non-profit chosen together. The company becomes a visible co-sponsor of real change, the non-profit gets the rigour and the tools it could never afford, and we make the whole thing public, because the point is to show that profitability and purpose belong together.

How it works, in one line

Commission a project with us and you automatically join Profit for Good, choosing a percentage of the project value to direct to an impact fund. We always match the equivalent in euros, in our own services and in free CostCTRL licensing, cloud and resources, for a non-profit you and we choose together. The impact is measured and shared publicly. *The percentage is set by you, the client. Whatever you commit, we match the euro equivalent in our services and CostCTRL technology for the chosen non-profit.

The model

An SME commissions a project and joins Profit for Good, contributing a share of the project value. The fund and our own delivery fund a cost optimization project plus free CostCTRL for a non-profit chosen together, with the impact measured and shared. Illustrative.

We are a profitability firm, and we are not embarrassed by the word profit. Profit, measured honestly, is what lets a business pay people, invest, last, and give. But we have always believed that profitability and purpose are not opposites, and Profit for Good is how we prove it. The idea is simple. The companies we help are getting more profitable because of the work. A small, visible share of each project becomes the seed of something that has nothing to do with profit at all: a non-profit, somewhere in the world, getting the cost clarity and the technology it needs to do more good with what it has.

Crucially, the client is not a bystander writing a cheque to a cause they will never see. They co-sponsor it. They help choose the non-profit, often one close to their own values or community. Their contribution is matched by our delivery and our technology, so a modest share of a commercial project turns into a real engagement for an organization that could never have commissioned it. And we tell the story, with the client's name on it, because visibility is part of the value. A company that joins Profit for Good is not just buying a profitability project; it is publicly standing for the idea that doing well and doing good can be the same act.

A donation made whatever happens is a marketing cost. Turning part of a commercial project into rigour and technology for a non-profit is something else entirely.

Why this model

Contribution, not charity from our margin alone

We designed Profit for Good as a shared contribution on purpose. A firm quietly donating a slice of its own profit is admirable but small, and it ends when the firm has a hard year. A model where every client adds a share, and we match it with delivery and technology, scales with the work and turns each engagement into impact. It also gives the client something a plain donation never can: a genuine role, a non-profit they helped choose, and a public story that says their success funded someone else's mission.

There is a second reason it works for us specifically. Much of what we give is capacity and technology rather than cash: consulting time and CostCTRL licensing and cloud. Our own discipline tells us the marginal cost of using available capacity is low, so we can deliver high real value to a non-profit at a cost we control. The contribution from the client closes the rest of the gap. The result is a programme that is generous in what it delivers and sustainable in what it costs, which is exactly the balance our whole method is built to find.

The proposed terms

Set by the client, matched by us

You decide the contribution: a percentage of the project value*, set by you when you commission the work. Whatever you commit, Cost and Profitability matches the euro equivalent, in our own services and in free CostCTRL licensing, cloud and resources for the non-profit you and we choose together. The percentage and the choice of non-profit are written into the engagement agreement before work begins. *The percentage is the client's to choose. We always match its euro value in delivery and technology.

Frequently asked

What is Profit for Good?

An initiative where commissioning a for-profit project with us funds a free one for a non-profit. The client adds a small share of the project value to an impact fund; we match it with a cost optimization project and free CostCTRL technology for a non-profit chosen together.

How much does the client contribute?

You choose. The contribution is a percentage of the project value, set by the client, and Cost and Profitability always matches its euro equivalent in services and CostCTRL technology for the non-profit. There is no number we impose; the client decides what feels right.

Who chooses the non-profit?

The client, with us. It is usually a cause close to the client's values or community, and it can include organizations we already help with cost per outcome and full-cost funding.

What does the non-profit actually get?

A cost optimization project, a Health Check and a cost-per-outcome view, plus free CostCTRL licensing, cloud and onboarding for a period, so it can keep managing its costs after we step back.

Will it be made public?

Yes, with the client's agreement and their name on it. Visibility is part of the point: we want to show that not everything in business is for profit, and to encourage others to join.
