Three days of costing and profitability in Saudi Arabia.
At the invitation of the Asharqia Chamber, with the Tamheer Al-Rowad Training Center, Miguel Guimarães led a three-day in-person workshop - “Operational Cost Analysis for Profit Improvement in the Logistics Sector” - for logistics professionals, with TVTC certification. It moved from Volume-Based Costing to ABC and TDABC, and closed by building a working profitability model in CostCtrl on a logistics case study.
From cost theory to a model they could run.
Three days built as a progression, not a lecture series. Each method exposed the blind spot in the one before it - until the room was building, hands-on, the profitability model a logistics operator actually uses.
Volume-Based Costing
Where most operators start - and where the distortions begin.
Activity-Based Costing
Cost follows activity. Better, but heavy to build and maintain.
Time-Driven ABC
Time equations and capacity rates - the lighter, defensible model.
A model in CostCtrl
Hands-on build of a logistics profitability model on real case data.
The workshop sat inside a wider week in the Kingdom - connecting the method to the market it serves.
LEAP 2025
Presence at one of the region's largest technology gatherings.
Warehousing & Logistics Expo
The Saudi Warehousing & Logistics Expo - the sector, in one hall.
Portuguese Embassy
An event marking Portugal Day, bridging the two markets.
MENA delivery
Delivered with regional partner Dr. Khalid Alahmari.
Hosted by the Asharqia Chamber Training Center and certified by the TVTC - a three-day programme delivered to logistics professionals in the Eastern Province.
