1. What Data We Collect

When you complete the Profit Check, we collect:

  • Company name, industry, and company size
  • Your responses to 14 assessment questions and any optional comments
  • If voluntarily provided: your name, professional email, job title, revenue range, and challenge description

We do not collect any financial, operational, or confidential business data. Your answers to the 14 questions are never sent to an analytics or advertising provider.

Cookies and measurement on this page. This page loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-L5HNZN655T) when it opens. Analytics 4 sets two cookies of our own domain, _ga and _ga_L5HNZN655T, which hold a randomly generated identifier for your browser, and it reports to Google the pages you view together with your device and browser type and an approximate location derived from your IP address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring how this tool is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time. Open this link to switch analytics off in this browser — it stores a single preference cookie, cnp_noan, which contains nothing but that choice, and Google Analytics is then no longer loaded in this browser. It opens in a new tab, so your answers here are not affected. You can also object by writing to [email protected]. Your browser’s tracking protection and content blockers remain fully effective.

No session recording, no advertising tag and no third-party tracking pixel runs on this page.

2. Purpose and Legal Basis

We process your data for the following purposes:

  • Assessment delivery (contractual necessity, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): to generate your maturity score, radar chart, and recommendations.

  • Anonymized benchmarking and research (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): to improve our benchmarks, publish aggregated industry insights, and enhance the quality of this assessment. Individual responses are never published or shared in identifiable form.
  • Commercial follow-up (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): only if you provide your email and opt in, we may contact you about relevant services.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Data may be shared with:

  • CostCtrl (our technology partner) for assessment processing
  • Service providers who assist us in operating this tool, bound by data processing agreements
  • Authorities if required by law

4. Data Retention

Assessment responses are retained for up to 3 years for benchmarking purposes. Personal contact details are retained for up to 2 years or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely.

  • Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

6. Supervisory Authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (Comissao Nacional de Protecao de Dados, CNPD) at www.cnpd.pt, or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
